Chris Gayle may not play in PSL due to back problems


West Indian giant batsman Chris Gayle might not play in PSL. He signed for the tournament in very early. Lahore Qalander crafted him in player auction. The team also announced that Gayle will be captained of the team. After it was confirmed that Gayle will not play all matches in PSL due to his back problem.

Gayle was consulted with the doctors in Australia for his back surgery. If he got surgery date he will not participate in PSL. Doctor said him he needed at least two months to recover if he undergo the surgery. The doctors also added that if he wanted to play IPL he needs to surgery.

After that the T20 specialist decided not to undergo any surgery before the IPL Tournament. When he was asked about it, he replied that he did not want to take any risk before IPL, the high profile cricket tournament in the world. IPL T20 schedule confirmed 9th April to 29th May and if he agree to surgery he have to face the fitness problem. He could not take the risk of IPL lucrative 1.5 million US$ offer. Gayle wanted to keep him fit before the biggest cricket tournament and for that he would not play all matches in PSL.

Lahore Qalandars is appointed Azhar Ali as the team Captain. Azhar is the ODI Captain of Pakistan national team. Azhar was ignored by Lahore Qalandars. Even he was not drafted from the first two top categories of Diamonds and Gold. He was classified in third category players list where included the little famous players and the young cricketers like  Zafar Gohar,Zia-ul-Haq, Hammad Azam and Zohaib Khan.

PSL T20 has one day to go to start. The opening match will be played by Islamabad United vs Quetta Gladiators on 4th February. Lahore Qalandars  will be faced against Karachi Kings on 5th February in the second match of the tournament. Many Sports media channel will cover the full event live in world wide.
